Who Is She?
Inspired by pop culture, self reflection and human behavior, Whitley's work is a reflection of her past and sense of humor, as well as a commentary on the absurdities she sees around her. Many of images allude to specific issues she finds prevalent in our excessive, superficial, indulgent American culture and the struggle between wanting to distance herself from certain problematic aspects of her surroundings, and trying to fit in.
